Anyway, wanted to show this for a while, this is the bookplate stamp i designed and had made by Susan at Picture My Stamp [link] in America.

Top left is my original line drawing, top right is the top of the resultant stamp, middle left is what it looks like stamped on watercolour paper, middle right the surface of the stamp, bottom is the bookplate as it appears in my copy of Everything Lost - The Latin American Notebook of William S. Burroughs.

i adore books, both new and secondhand, but i love when i buy a secondhand book and it has a previous owner's name or bookplate in it. i originally used this bookplate [link] , but i am very precious about my books, i keep them in glassed in cabinets to keep the dust off, i put Orphea strips amongs them to keep the bugs away, and i am slowly in the process of covering them all in archival polypropylene. so i was worried about the adhesives in the stickers i printed them on, as well as the ink.

so i decided to have a stamp made, so that i could use archival ink on archival paper and attatch it to the book with archival adhesives. ARCHIVAL DOOM!
