thanks. i mean memento mori in the sense of the victorian fashion for jewellery with small compartments to contain a lock of hair or other relic from a dead person. i don't actually plan to put hair in the compartment, i just like little secret boxy type things. also, the whole cicada nymph emerging from the ground to metamorphose thing, and how in ancient china they would put a jade cicada in the mouth of a dead person as a symbol of rebirth, so it sort of all ties in. in my head, anyway.
